Bizarre 'Monster' Washes Up On L.I. Shore
NEW YORK -- Is it real or just a legend? That's what many are asking after the corpse of a bizarre-looking creature with a dinosaur beak washed up on a Long Island shore this week.

A tipster told Gawker.com that there is "a government animal testing facility very close by" where the creature washed ashore, but government biologists contacted by Hamptons-based Web site Plum said after looking at the pictures that "no such creature exists," according to Gawker.

Sorry if this is a dupe.

12. I looked really close at the photo and my assessment is:
dead dog that has been in water just long enough for the superficial layer of skin with fur to "slip", so it's bald and the skin is really thin. You can see some residual fur/epidermis adhering to the right front leg.

The lower jaw looks extremely dog-like. The upper jaw has a beak, which IMHO is photoshopped. I think the whole upper face including eyes might be photoshopped. Beaks don't grow on dogs.

15. If you look at the inside of a turtle shell, you'll
see the backbone of the turtle..it's part of the turtle's skeleton, so this isn't a turtle.
