" Al Qaeda In Iraq" has high-tailed it to Afghanistan..
so I guess now it's "Al Qaeda in Afghanistan"? Or is it now "Al Qaeda in Iraq in Afghanistan"?...

By the way, ABC showed me some very frightening pictures of 12 year old boys in fatigues carrying big guns in Pakistan last night...:scared:

Al-Qaeda in Iraq Leader May Be in Afghanistan

BAGHDAD, July 30 -- The leader of the Sunni insurgent group al-Qaeda in Iraq and several of his top lieutenants have recently left Iraq for Afghanistan, according to group leaders and Iraqi intelligence officials, a possible further sign of what Iraqi and U.S. officials call growing disarray and weakness in the organization.

U.S. officials say there are indications that al-Qaeda is diverting new recruits from going to Iraq, where its fighters have suffered dramatic setbacks, to going to Afghanistan and Pakistan, where they appear to be making gains.

2. I still don't know why Iraq was special enough to warrant a special "al Qaeda in Iraq" branch.
Afghanistan was invaded first, so they should have been the first country with the special AQ branch!

Does this al-Qaeda in Iraq have a special flag to differentiate itself from the regular Joe Schmo at the conventional al-Qaeda?

?

4. Does this mean we've won?
:sarcasm:

Was AQ in Iraq an "official" branch of AQ, or just called themselves that?

5. Actually, I think we called them that...
to cover our asses on the fact that Osama Bin Laden and 9/11 had absolutely nothing to do with Iraq.
