Talkin' Politics on "The View"

I caught ten or so minutes of this show for the first time ever.
They were talking about the election in the most simplistic cartoon-like tone I can imagine.
Normally I think political discussions are worthwhile no matter who, no matter where.
I was embarrassed to think that anyone would consider this show informative or insightful or even mildly entertaining.

Does anybody anywhere fall for this?
Does anybody anywhere get political information from a show like this?

They should stick to celebrity gossip and fashion news.

Does this contribute anything to the national dialog regarding the coming election?
Or only add static and rob us of any clarity that may exist on this subject?
