Pres. Obama vs. Speaker Pelosi
when Obama becomes president, some of the political conflict will be between the President and the Speaker.

I'm wondering what the nature of this conflict will be.

Speaking in the simplified language of "liberal" and "centrist", I wonder if there will be lines drawn that way.

If so, my guess would be that Pelosi will be more "liberal" and Obama will be more "centrist." Both because Pelosi will still be representing her very liberal district, and also because she leads the House, which is the more populist house of the two.

Obama has promised to be bipartisan and the House by its nature tends not to be bipartisan.

1. Pelosi is not a liberal in my book.
I hope there will be conflict or we are in further trouble. We need a return to separation of power.

4. She certainly hasn't been acting like a liberal since becoming Speaker!
Or maybe she's acting like a liberal that lost her BACKBONE. Yeah, that's the ticket!
