1. Nice catch.
That's pretty funny.

It will be written up as the "Liberal Media" up to their old tricks again.

3. Whoops!
I don't wish dementia on anyone, but what an ironic headline!

6. I LOVE it!
It made me laugh!

Sometimes I wonder if they do these things on purpose?

10. It would seem very likely
that they DO do this on purpose. I can just imagine a sneaky giggle on somebody's face as they put up stories in ooooh say.... any random order:evilgrin:

I admit, I giggled a little myself:spank:

7. Here is the LBN thread. I think this actually is a real issue for McCain - or it should be!

9. After straining to keep from laughing....
and not to change the subject, but there's another article on that page that's a little disconcerting.

Less driving means a bumpier ride

Cutting back on driving, e.g., no gas taxes collected, jeopardizes federal funds for highway construction and repair.

A Catch 22.

And then imagine if McCain's summer, or whenever, Gas Tax Holiday was to be approved. Failing bridges and no construction and/or repairs. We'll at least we'd be forced to drive slower...mandated by negotiating pot holes and ruts.

11. Anyone over 55 who can't admit they've lost some mental acuity ...
Edited on Tue Jul-29-08 04:44 AM by TexasObserver
... isn't anyone I know.

I'm 58. EVERYONE I know over 55 will tell you candidly they don't remember recent things as well as they once did. When we get older, just as we lose a step in athletics, we lose a step mentally. It's a progression.

I don't know what causes Alzheimer's, but I know a number of the theories. I don't know if I have it, but it would not surprise me. Senility is natural, although some citizens maintain a lot better a lot longer, than others. I suspect it is partly what we are exposed to environmentally, partly what we ingest into our bodies, partly what we do to ourselves in terms of being mentally fit, and partly heredity.

I don't wish physical illness or malady on any human being anywhere. That would be bad karma. I'm an asshole, but I'm not a fool.
