2. A very connected family?
A very connected family would have gotten her into something better than a tier 4 law school.

18. Bush wasn't very bright
and his family connections got him into Yale.

Where does where I went to college have to do with the discussion? I went to Berkeley and my family wasn't connected to anything.

3. Does she have a brain?
That's another question I've wondered.

Why does Liberty University have a law school?

How does a dim bulb pass the bar?

These questions have plagued me for awhile.

10. According to the questioning directed at her by...
Congressman Cohen, Liberty's law school exists to bring the principles of Pat Robertson's "Christianity" into the judicial workings of government; a source of great encouragement for all of us, I'm sure... :(

I just watched the video on youtube today...I don't remember the link, but if you search for "Cohen questions Goodling" or something like that you'll find it.

23. It can be very confusing tracking the bigots
I remember Falwell because a friend of mine grew up in his little kingdom (her father fought against him and got death threats for it), and I used to work around the corner from Robertson's DC area campus. I flipped it off every day as I walked to the train station.

Breaking: Monica Goodling Is Engaged!

Monday, February 25, 2008 10:00 PM - By David Lat

Monica Goodling small 2 Michael Krempasky Above the Law blog.JPGThis just in: the super-fabulous Monica Goodling, one of ATL's all-time favorite people, is engaged!

Monica Marie Goodling, of Alexandria, is engaged to be married to Michael Krempasky, of Falls Church. The wedding is planned for later this year.

The future bride, a consultant, previously served as senior counsel to Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and White House liaison at the U.S. Department of Justice. She graduated cum laude from Messiah College and received J.D. and M.A. degrees from Regent University.

Mr. Krempasky is a senior vice president at Edelman, a full-service, global public relations firm. He is also a founder of RedState, a leading conservative blog.

Although Monica Goodling and Mike Krempasky are a "power couple" here in Washington, their story goes back more than a decade and originates outside the Beltway. Look for more details later, either in these pages or elsewhere (e.g., their official engagement or wedding announcement).

12. Things are different today with the Internet
Fawn Hall, who helped Ollie North shred all those papers, and even carried papers out in her underwear, wasn't so lucky. In her testimony (under immunity), she famously said, "Sometimes you have to go above the law." I remember reading in an interview with her years later that Ollie never even bothered to call or thank her for her efforts, and she was pretty much on her own from there on out.

From Wikipedia:

(snip)

In 1991 she married Danny Sugerman, former manager of The Doors. The two were married until Sugerman's death in 2005. Hall underwent drug rehabilitation for an addiction to crack cocaine in the mid-1990s, it being reported at the time that Sugerman first exposed Hall to the drug.

15. She is a bright person that believes anything that she is told
to do is alright for the RWing cause. That is how RWingers are trained. She will be just fine because there are fellow RWingers that will help her out. The RWing is a powerful Cult.

And of course she doesn't have any shame. "What is it about GWB that makes you want to serve him?" Yeesh.
