5. wow, thanks! Yup, huge smile here.
I even teared up a bit watching that. I wanted so much for that North Korean guard to start dancing.

7. Entirely too much time, money
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 08:53 PM by Gman
or both

And a pretty big carbon footprint for dancing.

Still, it makes you smile!

8. I don't know - he has made more of a favorable world impact than myself
in terms of bringing people together if only for a minute. He has found a way to travel the world and meet people. He isn't independently wealthy. Seems like a pretty smart guy.

14. Nah, Matt loved to travel, and he quit his job to travel around the planet
Stride gum gave him the money for his second trip in exchange for putting "thank you Stride' at the end of the video. Sweet deal! IMHO, meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and seeing the beauty of out planet is WORTH leaving a computer programming job and spending 14 months of your life on the road. Matt probably lived more in those 14 months than most of us do in ten years.

20. "too much time"? from someone with 1000+ posts on an internet forum? :)
Though I'll grant you that posting here doesn't have much of a carbon footprint.

9. That was really good. Recommended.
From Matt's website:
"The response to the first video brought Matt to the attention of the nice people at Stride gum. They asked Matt if he'd be interested in taking another trip around the world to make a new video. Matt asked if they'd be paying for it. They said yes. Matt thought this sounded like another very good idea.

In 2006, Matt took a 6 month trip through 39 countries on all 7 continents. In that time, he danced a great deal."

11. Go Matt!
My daughter showed me this the other day, loved it as much this time as that! Got a big kick out of the DMZ and the one in India where, at one point he was in sync with all those beautiful ladies.

This is fabulous! :toast:
