After all, his whole life, he's screwed up one thing after another and just walked away. I'll bet he was ready to leave the day after the election in November of 2006.

On the one hand I think that he didn't work hard to amass so much power in the executive to hand it over to Obama, or McCain for that matter. On the other hand, is there anything left to loot?

Will they walk away or will they use the powers they put in place to stay in office? It will be interesting to see what happens.

With all the favors he's done for Big Oil, Big War and Big You-Name-It, he should be able to afford to buy Dallas outright, if not the whole of Texas.

...I wish people would think through just how they imagine him holding onto power. Will the troops go along this? Are there even enough with our readiness declines? Will the State Police somehow be commissioned into a national police force? I've lived in a military dictatorship, and if you don't have a corrupt military and police force to begin with, its not easy to pull off.
