In 2004, almost every time Kerry or Edwards planned on visiting Florida, a hurricane was looming on the horizon, and they canceled their trips.

In the mean time, Chimpo, and his fat little brother showed up for photo-ops, and to pass out water to victims.

We saw how that worked out.

If a big one were to hit CONUS, bush and his band of criminals must act swiftly and competently or no doubt the bad light will find its way to mccain. I'd help that occur.

Although Dolly is along way from NOLA we are going to get some rain from the event so those natural occurrences have far reaching effects.

6. If damage is light I doubt there will be any effect. Frankly, we are

so-o-o dry here, seventy miles NNW of San Antonio, that I'm hoping we get some rain out of Dolly. So far we have a thirty percent chance of rain today and seventy percent tomorrow for 1-2 inches. Never thought I would be happy to see a hurricane....I'm a transplant to TX and have never experienced drought before.

Then I have no idea what kind of effect that would have. I suppose both candidates could use it to their advantage. Obama especially if there's a massive spill.

Remember when Hurricane Andrew hit South Florida in 1992, Bush 1's response was very slow and it was a big reason why Bill Clinton won Florida that year.

I always wonder though, how different would the response have been if Katrina happened in 2004 instead of 2005?
