What the Holy Hell is an "Anbar Awakening" ??!!!

IIRC, the "Pacification" of Anbar was a product of ethnic cleansing and massive ongoing bribery.

Now, today, I hear that this event has been christened an "Awakening".

How is it possible for ALL the Media to simultaneously begin calling this war crime an "Awakening"?

Anbar was NOT "Awakened".
Anbar was "Pacified".

Big Difference.
