Why Can't Bill O' Reilly Be Fired?

I realize O' Reilly works for Fox News so they like what he says, so that is one reason he will not be fired. However, since O' Reilly said that the Netroots rally was composed of the "most hateful" people even more "hateful than the Nazis and the Klan" he should be fired. It is just ridiculous to say that a group of political bloggers, who for the most part do not promote hatred are more hateful than a group of people that participated in the deaths of 6 million people and another group that used violence in an attempt to prevent people from fighting for their rights. I contend it is just crazy that O' Reilly cannot be fired for the comments he made about Al Gore and the Netroots rally. I also wish the FCC would try to fine him for making such outrageous comments.

5. If we had a federal agency that could impose fines for outrageous statements

where would it stop? Who gets to decide what is outrageous? What if they decide what you say is outrageous? Ahh, freedom of speech can be so pesky and annoying can't it?

6. Y'know, I see O'Reilly and other right wing tools referred to as "nazis"

all the time here on DU and on other forums and blogs. While I believe they are closer in philosophy to real nazis than Kos or others among the liberal netroots, they actually are not nazis. It's all hyperbole. So if a pathetic piece of shit like billo the clown wants to give the ancient geezers in his audience a boner by comparing netroots to nazis or kkk, fuck it let him. His audience will all be fucking dead in a couple of years anyway.
