Corpse in Pennsylvania baby mystery tentatively identified

The body of a woman found tied up with her uterus cut open inside a Pennsylvania apartment has been tentatively identified.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office told CNN late Saturday the body is that of Kia Johnson. Authorities will use dental records to definitely confirm the identity.

The partially eviscerated body of the woman was found at the apartment of a Pennsylvania woman who arrived at a hospital with a newborn infant earlier in the week.

A placenta was found at the scene, the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, medical examiner said.

This particular woman has a history of trying to take other woman's babies. I would say immediately that she's is crazy, but is it more schizophrenia?

I certainly hope this horror is an isolated incident. The woman is obviously very mentally disturbed.

Cutting a child from another woman is rare, but has happen. I've read a few cases like this.

8. I think of it as a form of serious mental illness

with an obsession to obtain a baby by any means necessary. I would think it would take a huge disconnect from reality in order to do something so awful. I'm certainly not qualified in any area to diagnose people..it's just my opinion.

I wonder if there are any statistics on it? I think it's relatively rare to hear of that type of crime.
