Alaska has, on average, the highest gas prices in the country right now. All that can be said about the $8 gas is that most of those places out in the Bush don't have many roads, but they do use gasoline in their four-wheelers, snowmachines and boats, and I would assume their generators maybe, so they are still feeling the pinch. And in the winter their fuel oil costs are astronomical. Alaska is not a place where you want to run out of fuel in the winter.

on average. I actually saw $5.50 a gal. at a full service pump in Newport Beach:wow: Course if you're driving a Lamborghini or Bentley it wouldn't matter to you how much gas costs.

Although I must admit that I am optimistic that gas can still be purchased for under $4.00 somewhere in the USA.

I'm workin on getting off the carbon. It aint easy.

Gas is between $4.19 and 4.36 per gallon in Newburgh (for 87i).

It was just a self-deprecating post, laughing at myself because I was dense in not seeing it.
