No sh*t!: George W. Bush Sewage Treatment Plant renaming qualifies for November ballot
Edited on Fri Jul-18-08 09:25 AM by marmar
from ThinkProgress:

George W. Bush Sewage Treatment Plant renaming qualifies for November ballot.

The Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco has just recently submitted signatures to city election officials “hoping to place on the ballot an initiative that would rechristen the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant as the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.” SFist reports that the initiative has now officially qualified. From the Commission’s press release:

Officials at the Department of Elections announced today that the citizens’ initiative to rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant has qualified for the November 4th San Francisco ballot. Voters will decide on the measure in the general election alongside the presidential election, numerous statewide initiatives, and an expected 20 to 30 local measures.

10. Man, she's the biggest disappointment EVER. For Pete's sake!!! She's a mother AND
a grandmother. Is this how she raised her kids? By coddling them and caving to them every time they acted like assholes or defied her or disobeyed or lied or tried to pull a fast one? Is this how she raised her kids? Did she allow them a free pass and give into them after every tantrum and disregard ANY obligation to teach about accountability and responsibility for your actions? Well, you "raise" an unruly pResident the same way, Nancy dear. Sometimes even a pResident has to be sent to reform school, or at least grounded, sent up to bed without supper, his credit cards cut up and his car keys confiscated.

DREADFUL disappointment. Just WORLD CLASS DREADFUL. I feel like a fool for being so enthusiastic when she became Speaker. What a frickin' let-down.

12. I think naming the sewage treatment plant after Bush is disgraceful!
Sewage treatment plants actually do something to help people.

Bush never did anything to help anyone outside of his circle. This will give sewage a bad name.

15. Correct. The only thing deserving the name ''George Walker Bush'' is a cess pool.

The George Walker Bush Fecal Memorial Holding Tank.

The only thing the drunken cokewhore warmonger has earned in his miserable failure of a life
is to spend the rest of his natural days unclogging toilets in a federal penitentiary.

19. The toxic waste sites that Superfund will no longer be available to clean.
Actually any irredeemable toxic or nuclear waste site will do.

Let's leave at nuclear waste sites, the toxic sites might eventually be cleaned.

17. It's just so rude to sewage.
Sewage, which may feed the algae that sequesters our carbon and biofuels our vehicles, maybe even sometime in the near future!
