1. Compared to the alternatives.... fantastically

Our economic system is not our problem.

Even with everything that is going on, I'll take the West's standard of living over any other part of the world.

Freedom is the cure to the human condition. Freedom in thought, Freedom in action, and yes.... freedom in commerce.

The answer to what ails America is definitely not communism.

Don't sell that shit here.

2. Aside from the mixed economy part of it not actually being capitalism
we don't actually let the capitalism system work which is that there has to be oversight of some kind. Frankly the food problems we are seeing are the result of capitalism being TOO SUCCESSFUL-that is to say that there was no reigning it in

4. The workable alternative to unbridled capitalism is not communism.
It is REGULATED capitalism.

All that communism is, is state capitalism

In unbridled capitalism, there is no freedom.

Are you 'free' to buy gas for its real price? No, you pay what the corporatists have decided you pay - which is NO different than living in Soviet Russia and paying what the commisars decided you pay.

Capitalism KILLS.

5. The link in the OP points to a clearly pro-communist site

I agree with you... REGULATED capitalism is best.

The question is... what get regulated, and to what degree?

8. That's up for debate and negotiation, but since they'll call you communist anyway...
...for arguing for regulated capitalism, you might as well use it as a starting position.

3. It's great, isn't it?
You borrow money from rich people to buy cheap Chinese made plastic crap that you don't need anyway, and then you pay that money back with interest. That interest is how wealth is created, and that wealth goes right to the top. They then loan that money to someone else, who pays it back with interest, creating more wealth.

It wouldn't be so bad if the rich people at the top of this pyramid would actually pay a little bit of tax once in a while, and if they didn't use such huge amounts of their wealth to make guns and bombs and tanks, which the poor people pay for with their tax dollars. Then they ship our kids off to get maimed in the desert, because they want to steal more oil to make more cheap plastic crap that we don't need anyway.

The funnest part is the propaganda tubes that they use to put us into that beta wave state where we become highly suggestible, and will fall for just about any scam that they perpetrate on us. While our eyeballs are glued to the propaganda tube, they fill our brains with mush and advertising jingles, and it makes the cycle go round and round and round again!

I wish I could continue this, and maybe I will someday, but right now I have to go to work. Gotta pay those high energy bills, and the rent so my landlord can make his mortgage payments!

7. Capitalism requires competition!
Which we do not have - therefore we don't have capitalism.

What we have is CORPORATISM.

9. Got alternative?
Many ears are open for suggestions. It's not enough to just be against something,
one must propose a positive to be heard.

It's sickening and no better than those on the right that use it.
