Pay for Play!
A local radio station (98Rock, Baltimore, MD) is doing a "Pay for Play" day, today only. Basically you can have them play anything you want, as long as you pay up. They are raising the money for the MD State Police Polar Bear Plunge, which is a fundraiser for the MD Special Olympics. This Saturday (1/27) people from all over will be jumping (not literally) into the Chesapeake Bay, to raise money for the MD Special Olympics.

Here are the guidelines:

SONG ON OUR CURRENT PLAYLIST: $50
SONG NOT CURRENTLY ON OUR PLAYLIST: $100
SONG OUT OF FORMAT: $250
LOCAL BAND: $500
LOCAL BAND WITH 1 MINUTE INTERVIEW: $750
"STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" & "FREE BIRD": $1000

Feel free to drop more on us if you wish - hey it's for charity!

So, if you know any good protest songs, or if you just want them to play something different (Someone already requested "99 Red Balloons"). They have already played CCR's "Fortunate Son". It inspired me to spread the message, and I'm debating requesting a song myself. Disturbed has a few good anti-war songs on their most recent album.
