Dowd returns to moronhood......
...after eight years of a slacker buffoon in the White House isn't it about time to have someone who is ramrod straight and conveys a sense of dignity? Mo, go have another cocktail at your favorite West Side tavern and shut yer fucking piehole.

May We Mock, Barack?
By MAUREEN DOWD
WASHINGTON

When I interviewed Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert for Rolling Stone a couple years ago, I wondered what Barack Obama would mean for them.

“It seems like a President Obama would be harder to make fun of than these guys,” I said.

*snip*

If Obama keeps being stingy with his quips and smiles, and if the dominant perception of him is that you can’t make jokes about him, it might infect his campaign with an airless quality. His humorlessness could spark humor.

*snip*

Bring it on, Ozone Democrats! Because if Obama gets elected and there is nothing funny about him, it won’t be the economy that’s depressed. It will be the rest of us.

1. I think she has 'issues' and a glorified gossip columnist that has
a gift for snippy rejoinders but without the intellectual and political honesty of Molly Ivins.

I heard 'Sex in the City' is looking for new faces for their new series.

2. How lucky can one be to be "worried "

about something so vapid. She must not really think that she makes a difference with what she writes, because if she did she would get serious and contribute to the cause of stopping this criminal regime from continuing for 4 more years, instead of nearly always chipping away at the vehicle that truly offers a way out of the mess. Ah, but then she wouldn't be able to publicly indulge her keen sense of self-importance.

Thank God Obama doesn't listen to her or he'd be majoring in surface issues like she does. She's obviously projecting on him what is actually true of herself - namely, being bereft of humor.

Her take on political "issues" is just "so 20th century" and stuck in the year 2000 in particular.
