Speaking of satirical New Yorker covers...
Does anyone know the thoughts behind this cover from 1945?

This is located on the newyorker site under 1945 covers, labeled "1945_06_02_v256" (so am assuming it was June 2, 1945).

I am not one of the ones offended by the current cover, as I understand the satire. But this one has piqued my curiosity. Is it a satirical depiction of how many Americans saw female soldiers and Pacific Islanders? If so, it is very much in line with the current cover.

You can search by name or year. Start with GWBu sh - there's 21 cover pages of him.

4. Interesting
I've subscribed to The New Yorker for years and I saw nothing in the current cover that is any different from business as usual.
