There is nothing stopping impeachment
Only the Democrats' cowardice is in the way. The legal and the moral authority is there. The majority of the American public already support impeachment and more will follow once the process officially begins.

But the Democrats are afraid, as usual. They fear what the Republicans will say in the media. They fear that they will hurt Obama's chances to win the election. They fear for their own seats in Congress. While the Republicans got away with impeaching a president over a sex scandal, the Democrats can't even muster up the courage to remove a war criminal.

I only wonder if they can impeach after Obama wins the election. If they can, then they should. But that's still pathetic. It should have happened 4 years ago.

2. There are 49 things stopping impeachment.
There is no possibility whatsoever of impeaching Bush; the choice the Democrats have to make is not whether or not to impeach, but whether or not to initiate inevitably-doomed impeachment procedings.

Pelosi, Reid et al have shown a great deal of courage in standing up to politically-suicidal calls from their base for impeachment procedings; by doing so they've probably saved America from four more years of Republican government, at some cost to their own reputations (although, to be fair, probably less cost than wasting everyone's time on impeachment procedings would have involved).

3. Impeaching Clinton worked in getting Bush enough votes to enable his
minions to cheat by Supreme Court to getting him selected. I remember every time I turned around hearing people going on about Clintons morals and how we needed someone like Bush who wouldn't be chasing women all over the place. Even when the impeachment didn't stick the notion of Clinton and anyone associated with him and Democrats as immoral liberals stayed.

I think once all the war crimes are aired, it would have the same effect in showing the Republicans with blood on their hands and that only has to help Obama.

4. If the Repubs could impeach Clinton, there is no question the current Congress could impeach ...
Bush and Cheney both. The problem is Pelosi & friends don't want to impeach Bush/Cheney, because they are complicit with his war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan and Gitmo and who knows where else?

5. This long running msnbc impeachment poll
has picked up some 200,000 impeach votes since the last time I checked it (click here). Not bad for MSM.

6. Yes! Yes! Yes! Democrats are cowards! We certainly cannot hear that too much.
A reminder: the entire House of Representatives is up for reelection this November. If you really want impeachment, just keep reminding the entire electorate how spineless the Democrats are and perhaps they should support a party which has no fear of impeachment, the "Impeachment 'R Us" party (more commonly known as "Republicans"). That will teach those wimpy Democrats a lesson.

Remember--get or make your "Democrats are Wimpy and Spineless Cowards!" and display it prominently in your front yard. It will work wonders this fall.
