Netroots shafted by Reid, Pelosi and Emanual.

They were scheduled to appear in public, answer questions, and talk on Satuday. Netroots even had a site up, with votes up and down, on which questions would be submitted to them, Pelosi in particular.

As Gomer said all too often, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!. They canceled.

Even though they could have easily scheduled votes and work late on Tuesday, Wednesday, or even Lobbyist Thursday, nope. Saturday is the day. Gives them an excuse to avoid dealing with pesky questions that the People might have.

I guess when you are at 9% popularity, the last thing you really want is public accountability. Especially when the top rated question on Netroots is Impeachment.

Shame on Reid, Pelousi and Emanual. They don't even have the guts to deal with a group of activists who could and should be their biggest supporters. I guess having a lack of spine and no honest answers will cause that.

Cannot find it from there just by browsing, not nohow. (I found my first link through Googling.)

An interesting thing about the link to The Hill is that it's dated before July 4th.

And Netroots Nation's front page seems to indicate that Pelosi is still scheduled to attend.

I'm very confused, but that's not unusual.

I didn't know Reid and Emanuel were going to be there, but I was sure looking forward to Pelosi. I knew she'd need to bring heavy armor -- it promised to be a tough crowd. Haven't gotten an e-mail yet that they cancelled.

I'm still looking forward to Netroots, though. Should be a great five days. Anyone else here going?

I found the link from last year (when she *did* cancel) by Googling Pelosi and cancel. Maybe someone ran across the link by chance while Googling for something else....?

The page didn't have a date on it, was part of the problem. And the website said Netroots Nation, not Yearly Kos.

The Hill piece it linked to did have a date, which is when I got to wondering, as it was before July 4th. I'd like to say I noticed the year at that point, but I didn't. I tried to find it by navigating from Netroots Nation home page, and couldn't. Then I emailed Netroots Nation.

Who'd the email alert come from, if I may ask?
