25. hey got a phone call a little while ago from local newspaper subscription dept.

yesterday, after bing told the columns are an all or one syndication dealy and basically they won't pull coulter's column from the sunday issues - I told them to cancel my subscription

to make sure my message went to the right department - I followed that up by filling out the "cancel my subscription" - checked "other" for reason and in the comments bascially told them I objected to coulter's comments and was told they wouldn't pull her column so I was canceling

just a little while ago I received a phone call from the subscription department, went through the whole thing again, and again was told the column part of syndication service...yadda yadda yadda

and then the guy through in "freedom of the press, freedom of speech" argument

I said, fine - then I also have the freedom NOT to read things... heh? and let me ask you this - if there was a column which advocated lynching would you print it? if there was a column which advocated extermination of a particular religious, ethnic or political group would you print it?

him - Coulter never said that

me: she did advocate the killing of all liberals - would you like me to send you the link to that column? and how about the links to her other columns where she wants to see certain politicians assasinated?

him - I wasn't aware of that

me: drop me a note when you drop coulter and I'll see about subscribing again.
