When people talk to each other, over time that is more important than anything that the media or advertising says or does.

Only one example will be given to prove this point. In the late 70s and early 80s, we all heard about cars that were better made than than U.S. cars. We heard from family and friends. So and so had a car that went 200,000 miles. It was a Honda or Toyota. It took time, but these manufacturers now rule.

As people talk to each other this election cycle, the same thing will happen. Obama is Ok, and worth taking a chance on. McCain is just too old. Makes too many mistakes. Word of mouth will overcome mainstream media bias. It will also overcome racism.

1. I think that talking one on one is most effective
for several reasons. First of all, the person you are talking to most likely knows you or knows someone you know--there is a connection to which they can relate. And the sincerity you exude as you talk is also a factor If you are well informed, that makes the job a lot easier.

If you have a local activist corps, this makes things much easier. I get regular updates from a local activist who complies posts from different sources about matters of interest and then emails them out to the group.

worth thinking about. .. That he is smart enough and fair enough to change our country in a positive way, then we will accomplish a great deal.
. In l948, in the last month of the election, enough people talked to each other and convinced their friends that Harry Truman was clearly better than Dewey, that the discussion changed the landscape forever..
(Perhaps the Chicago Tribune never got the idea, but that is ok.)
We can help this country restore some of what we had before this nightmare arrived.
