Is there going to be a second round of stimulus packages?

I know that I find it hard to turn down advance money from the Government. Just like I happily pay my taxes to the Government. But, are these kinds of stimulus packages effective? Is there any believable statistics showing that the first stimulus packages had any effect at all?

I heard there has been talk of another round -- what is Obama's position on this. Is there where the quote about "not seeking short term solutions" comes in?

Help me out, I am out of the loop on this issue.

We will all get the new package at the same time.

Hope and new direction will have more impact than $600 bucks.

9. I still haven't received my FIRST stimulus check

I'm in the last group to receive the checks so I haven't been able to help the economy yet.

11. Ours went straight to the Dept of Education, all $1200.00. Don't think that helped the economy much

10. They'll be forced to do a second round. If they expect to buoy

up McBush until November, they'll need to drop another one in the mail around October. And Obama has gone on record to say he supports a second round.
