Who was behind the fake Iranian missile test picture?

Who is set to benefit from an amateurish photoshop job on an Iranian missile test picture?

AFP claims that they obtained the picture from Sepah News. I went to that website. There are no pictures there. In fact that website is incredibly slow and only one who understands Farsi can navigate through it.

This controversial picture has reportedly been taken off that website and instead replaced by the genuine version. Now here is my question.

How could the Iranians guards select the absolute worst picture that indicated a possible malfunction, alter it, then later show a launch video on TV that would contradict the photo, and then retract this altered picture and replace it with a genuine one. (I could not even find the real picture on their website)

Why would Iranians alter a picture when their own TV broadcast clearly would contradict it?

How can one controversial image that has been obviously altered, make it to the front page of most major US newspapers?

The price of oil went up by $6 today on rumors that Iran maybe planning a third missile test. Would this be Iran's response to the ridicules over a fake picture?

So this question is....Who was behind the fake Iranian missile test picture? Are we going to war?

I am very bothered by today's developments. Most major US papers were apparently taking part in an organized ploy to further escalate this conflict. :(
