Hospital refuses to accept its own employees' health insurance
Management says it's a business decision; workers say it's spite

In what hospital officials say is a financial decision but union members chalk up to spite, St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital has stopped accepting its own employees' health insurance.

1. I've been on the receiving end of hospital based employer insurance
Do you know that Walmart employees generally get better benefits than we do?
It's sad really.:(

5. So they're doing it because of the union?
What a bunch of BS and it is an insult to the employees.

6. I guess I'd start looking for a new job.
Word will get around in the medical industry and no one will want to work there anymore. With difficulties finding qualified nurses, I would imagine the hospital would be shooting themselves in the foot with this one.
