Jenna Bush has a book deal.
She plans to write about a single mother with HIV who I guess she met doing her UNICEF work. Sorry, no link; I just saw it on the CBS news. Gee, think her name had anything to do with getting a book deal?

First Twin Jenna Shops a Book

You can soon add the title of author to first daughter Jenna Bush's résumé. Whispers learns that the 25-year-old blond twin of Barbara Bush is shopping a book proposal to major publishers in New York City. We're told that the project is vague and that she's initially only gauging publishers' interest. The White House wouldn't comment, but others say it will be a young-adult book based on the former grade school teacher's experiences with charity causes in Latin America. It ought to sell: She's represented by super lawyer-agent Robert Barnett, who squired her around publishing offices in the Big Apple earlier this month. The profits will go to charity.

7. Interesting-- the publisher is owned by Rupert Murdoch!
Harper-Collins, owned by News Corp. Man, those right-wingers really take care of their own, don't they? I'm not accusing Jenna of being a RWer because I know nothing of her politics, if she even has any political opinions. But she's the daughter of a RWer, so that counts as far as I'm concerned.

9. And, I'm sure "It takes a village" by Hillary Jones

would have been gotten a publishing deal before it was written.

11. very bizarre: Jenna Bush writing about a single mother with HIV.
Wouldn't that be hilarious if she turned into a raging liberal and becomes a big advocate for people with AIDS/HIV?? I don't think she has the smarts for it though....
