because Chucklenuts only has two years left in his term and they wanted to get Repubic attorneys some "experience" for future judgeships. You can't make this shit up. They were trying to pack the Federal offices so that they would have a pool of Federal attorneys to pull from for packing courts with Repubic judges.

I'm guessing this won't be reported on. sigh.....

2. Was that in response to a question from Linsey Graham?
I had the hearings on all day, but I was busy so I missed hearing EVERY WORD. I do know Graham wassaying similar things during his questioning. I heard him say thathe believes as many lawyers as possible should have the opportunity to be a US Attorney because it's GREAT experience.

3. There was just one thing wrong with their cunning plan
Yeah, I know: Only one?

Let's see, there won't be a Republican president to move these undeserving USAs up the judge ladder for a little while, quite possibly a long while.

There isn't going to be a sympathetic Senate Judiciary Committee to consider their nominations to the bench for possibly even longer than that.

Anyone who's ever worked for Karl Rove (like the new USA for Arkansas) probably isn't going to get much consideration for any federal appointments the day after Rove's chubby little blood-stained hands are finally wrenched free from the levers of power in this country.

4. The biggest problem with their plan
Is that they told the attorneys they were being fired because of performance issues.

All the attorneys received glowing performance evaluations.

6. Why are you so sure they plan on leaving or letting go of power?
I'm not. Not a good idea to automatically assume they are. IMO.
