13. There's blood in the water...
and the sharks are circling.

I'm telling you, the media and the congress are not going to let this go.

Matthews just said that effectively Scooter's going to jail because he lied for Cheney and everyone now knows it.

a blood clot in his leg. Isn't this timing a little too perfect?

14. That news broke yesterday. As for being convenient timing...
He's had heart and blood problems for decades. If he had the same health care system the rest of us have, he'd have been dead ages ago. A couple of years ago he had surgery to remove clotting in his news, IIRC. So I doubt the two events are coordinated. Cheney could come up with legitimate health issues as a result to resign any time he wanted.

12. Yet Fitzgerald says he's done per Daily Kos...
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/3/6/133940/6035

"On what should be a day of some satisfaction over the Libby verdict, instead I feel greatly let down by Patrick Fitzgerald.

As reported in an article shown at http://www.huffingtonpost.com

Patrick Fitzgerald has been quoted as stating matter of factly: "I do not expect to file any further charges."

Libby=Scapegoat?
Libby=Pardoned scapegoat?

18. Fitz qualified the statement -- no new charges unless they receive new information
remember that Fitz is a lawyer and he is going to talk like a lawyer.

Also said Libby and his lawyers are free to contact his office.

21. Yeah I doubt Libby will flip. But if he did
then Fitz would listen to what he had to say.

If I were Mrs. Libby, now the Scooter is a convicted felon, I would be leaning real hard on Scooter to save himself. I would not want my husband going to jail to protect the VP.

their future mortality).

Off the hook.

The BFEE's not gonna go quietly. Not after all the crimes they committed to get where they are & stay where they are.

25. It's the Dems in Congress who must make the next move. They
must demand and state the next step. I don't think we should hit on Fitzgerald.

15. The Rethug party is gonna apply pressure on Cheney to resign.
They'll want their prospective presidential nominee in the office for 2008. I look for Condi to be VP very soon. Why else do you think they made Negroponte Deputy Sec of State? To take Condi's place...

23. Cheney will NOT resign.
To do so would open him up to any Congressional investigation, should there be one. As long as he remains VP, he's protected from testifying before Congress via Executive Privilege.

What we are all up against. If Cheney resigns I will eat my hat. If I had a hat. Apparently these "journalists" think these guys are not dictators. But I think differently.
