RealAudio, Quicktime.. just silence. I suspect they're having problems with the broadcast.

8. I started to listen to Ray during Katrina.

The same time I started lurking here at DU, actually. I actually got up the nerve to call Ray two weeks ago. He said I was smart. :D

A lot of people like Bernie. I should give him a listen. I just don'tknow where I am going to get all the extra hours to listen to the hosts I like.

9. I've been listening only for a few months

I talked with Bernie about three weeks ago, but it was a pablum topic; something about attitudes in sports, specifically football vs. baseball.

I'll listen to Ray if I've been listening to Bernie and there's nothing on PBS, but I don't turn on the radio just to listen to Ray.

Wha'd you and he talk about?

10. Some guy called in pissed that the Dems have done nothing

and why should we expect anything from them once they took power. I called Ray and reminded him that the minority lacks subpoena and investigative power, and also of the Conyers hearing in the basement in a closet which Sensenbrenner then closed. And I also talked about kicking Blackwell out of Ohio government. :D

on edit: So he gets repetitive, but at least my mind can wander a bit and not miss anything. And I still "loveya" it when he yells at Freepers. It makes me laugh.

Yeah, mostly I listen to him for the laughs; when he gets het up, it's almost surreal. And he does attract the Freeper elite — which is to say, the most IGnorant people in the country.

And I love the way he says "BUUSH!" as if he's throwin' up. :rofl:

14. It's good late night/early morning entertainment.

When at the end of the day you can't take one more stupid freeper thing, there is Ray screaming at them. It's cathartic.

I love how he refers to his listeners and the like as BEAUtiFUL WONderFUL people.
