I'm the biggest klutz in the universe, and I've never hit my head so hard that I needed a Band-Aid. I don't buy it.

2. I imagine I would after having several growths removed from my
scalp..... No way am I believing he didn't have a little more "skin scalping" for his ongoing fight against skin cancer.

25. Passed out because of a pretzel...?
Or a failed attempt at auto-erotic asphyxiation over a map of the middle east painted red white and blue?

8. I don't care so much about the status of McCain's bandaids.
I am more concerned about the effects his policies will have on everyone else's health care.

9. That is very strange.
I wonder if there is footage of him getting in and out of vehicles in Canada that could verify this. It seems a bit odd. I would also wonder if the bandages are near each other or not.

10. Oh yeah.

I was exiting a pickup truck. Due to the height of the truck, the doors are in a different place when open than a car. So I popped out and nearly knocked myself silly on the corner of the door. It was open as wide as that truck would let it open, and I didn't adjust. I was probably talking when I did it.

There's so much wrong with McCain, I don't know what you're looking for here, but I think we have plenty of stuff to call him on without wondering about a band-aid.

23. Skin cancer, that is what we are looking for
not a minor thing for a Presnit candidate

That said, I did bump myself hard coming out of an Ambulance many years ago... I think the bandaid on forehead was more to keep it from dripping on patient though... and a reminder, this is why you wear a helmet

11. Split my eye open on a car door
I was three and running for the car door. I was and am a stragler, always bringing up the rear. My aunt had taken me shopping and we had to get home before my parents got back.

I ran to catch up with her and just as I arrived at the car, she opened the door. I smacked my forehead on the outside edge of the door and yes, split open my forehead just above my left eye. The scar is still there.

But, l I was three. I'm more graceful now. :D

12. Well, yes.
While working under the hood.

While working underneath the car.

While in the act of hitting a tree at speed.

Otherwise, no.

Then again, my skin is only 45 years old. It's not yet as thin as a drunk's apology (or a murdering chimp's lie).

13. Actually, yes...in my own car. I had some new seat covers put on and the seat was higher
than before. I banged my head on the roof trim. Not to defend McCain but this is hardly the stuff of major political discourse...

18. Yes. I was getting into someone else's car - roof line way different
from mine. I was busy talking (there's a surprise - NOT!) and hit my brow. It was a weekend, and went to the ER the next day when it hadn't stopped bleeding. I got 5 fancy little stitches and a teeny-tiny barely-visible scar. It pays to go to the ER when there's a plastic surgeon already there.

- and my husband has, too. Hubby's hair is thinning and there's not a lot there to protect the scalp.

My seat belt and airbags literally saved my life.

26. Ban car doors now! They're dangerous.
:sarcasm: of course.

Nope never @ banging my head on a car door that I needed a band-aid.

McLame's "explanation" is just blatantly stupid. An excuse that only the blatantly stupid will accept....but hey, as P.T. Barnum said, "there's a sucker born every minute".

30. Much as I can't stand McSame
I've busted my scalp open more than once on various parts of many cars. It's a function of clumsiness, baldness, and - in McSame's case - the thinner skin of older adults.

31. I hit my head hard enough for a concussion -
I actually "saw stars" like in a cartoon- but it didn't require a bandaid, didn't even break the skin.
I think McCain has limited mobility and is a bit awkward moving aound, possibly from his POW experiences.

32. Something ELSE weird about that....
When I watched the conference "live".. the bandaids were on the TOP of his head.. two small ones..

When they talked about them later, the network highlighted something just over his left eyebrow, which is a more logical place for a "head bump" than right on the top of the head.

If he says he "bumped his head on a car" then the one thing I know for sure is that he didn't. Odds are he'll flip-flop on the question by the end of the week anyway.

All of the Old Man's statements seem to be provisional, like they hold until he reverses himself and then they become inoperative (at least until he flips back again).

What a typical Republican loser this guy is. By the way, in addition to being old, Gramps seems to be a bit on the short side. I saw him yesterday with some normal people and he looked like he was standing in a hole. He had to look waaay up at everyone the way a child does. (It reminded me of the "bush hug" photo, where he also looks like a little boy.)

Doesn't the taller guy always win the presidency? Of course, "Obama" does end with a vowel, and I hear that's Bad.

edit: typo
