1. I give preference to anyone who is qualified
it's non-commisioned retail sales. We want to give preference to those of Hawaiian decent but "Preference" is a difficult word and position.

so many people are deserving, vets, released prisioners, single parents... the list could go on and on.

2. I agree preference may be difficult but
If it come down to a question of two "qualified" individuals Would you give a "preference" to the vet and hire him ????

p.S. i also own a small business; I amd not hiring but if I did you would have to be a CPA...(e.g. "qualified)

4. my business was so small
there was no way I was ever gonna be able to hire somebody. And I was not that unusual. All four retailers on my side of the block were one or two person businesses and many did not last as long as mine.

6. What I am trying to say
Is that I am a former National Guard (NG)...

There is a legal obligation to rehire NG members who have been activated. And then there is the question of "supporting the troupes"

I guess what I am asking is; is you money where your mouth is (to put it very crassly)
