1. Of course she's going to vote for it
She's got campaign debts that need to be paid.

5. he is suggesting she will vote with Obama
and the rest of the party leadership so that they might help pay off her campaign debts. Note please, that is not my opinion, that is my reading of notesdev's post. I could be in error but that's how I read it.

7. She will vote with the telecoms lobbyists
so that they can contribute to her campaign funds which will help to bail her out of the debt hole she dug for herself, covering the losses she would otherwise take from her personal loan to her own campaign.

You just watch. I've been watching a long time, and I know, that's exactly what will happen. It is total business as usual in Washington, D.C. and nobody will think twice about it. A few grassroots activists offended by the lack of integrity may make a stink, but they'll never see a single article about them in print or on TV.

8. And how much can the industry contribute to her campaign?
Answer? Nothing.

How much can lobbyists contribute? $2,300... same as you and me.

9. Have you ever heard of bundling, soft money, etc.?
One individual... sure, he's got a limit to what he can directly contribute to a campaign. But when he can 'bundle' the same max contribution from 100 or more others who mutually scratch each others' backs... we're talking some real money. Then there are ways to contribute that aren't regulated... 'speaking fees' and defense funds and presidential libraries and 'fact-finding' trips and 527 orgs and on and on and on. If you think our financing regime places any real limits on what people can give to candidates, you are quite mistaken.

10. Is Skinner a bundler since he's trying to get 50k raised for Obama?
this is just a stupid attack on Clinton - you have no idea how she'll vote. It's just baseless to attack her on this.

11. When she does what I say she will do
then maybe you'll understand how ugly the reality is. I've gotten a real good look at the underside of DC and it's far more corrupt than anyone who has not had direct contact with it could imagine. If there are 10 honest people in all of Congress combined, I'd be quite surprised.

Wishful thinking is charming but it's not going to lead you to an accurate assessment of the problems in Washington DC.

12. well neither of knows her position on it
but if she does vote for it, do you think she'll be the only Dem to do so? Why single her out for approbation? And why do it before you even know how she'll vote?

18. She won't be the only one and I'm not singling her out
the question was about her specifically, so I answered about her specifically. Many many more will do the exact same thing for similar reasons.

19. The party has no leadership. That should have changed when the primaries ended.
When will we get some, I wonder?

15. I used to be King.
Now, not so much.

Let me expand on my previous post. This vote coming up is a pretty safe vote for Hillary no matter which way she goes on it. Now she is just one of 100 voting on it. No one could really fault her for taking the most advantageous side. Her vote will not affect her either way since she has a seat that is safe. That would not be the case if she was still running for President. Is she planning to run in 2012? Does she think that this vote will have an effect on her then? There are different consequences on a vote like this depending on whether you are a future Presidential hopeful or just a career Senate member. Nothing wrong with a politician weighing his/her options.
