Ladies And Gentlemen... Place Your Bets !!! - Verdict Today In Libby Trial ???
Schuster was reporting from in front of the courthouse this morning, saying that the place was all abuzz cause the jurors are gettin all gussied up for when they come in today. No blue-jeans et. al.

Schuster said it could be just that they have more questions for the judge that they want to ask in person in the courtroom, or it could be that they wanna look nice for the cameras after the verdict is read.

I think today is the day.

Libby's goin DOWN!!!

Glad ta have ya aboard!

If they let Libby off, then Cheney skates too. If Libby is convicted however... Cheney just might have cause for concern.

We'll see.

5. Based on the questions they asked for today, I don't bet on today
for the verdict, but certainly this week. Isn't it strange how Cheney's office announced a blood clot in his leg yesterday just as it is getting about time for a verdict. What do you want to bet Cheney will be conveniently sequestered in a hospital room when the verdict comes out? What a coward!

Also, I wouldn't bet on convictions. If the Bush crowd can fix a public election and get the Supreme Court to back it up, fool the press about WMDs in Iraq when most of our allies, the UN inspectors and Hussein denied they were there, it should have no problem with tampering with secret jury deliberations -- only 12 people involved -- piece of cake.

6. Well since they're "gussied"
At first I thought no but now that I know about the gussying, well I'm not sure. ;) I think it's odd that they would coordinate gussying just for questions when they haven't before. And we know how they like to coordinate their outfits. :eyes:

9. FireDogLake Addresses The Clothing Clues...

On the question of jury’s dress–yes, MSNBC says they’re dressed up. But remember, they may well have expected they’d be dragged into the court room to get an instruction on this question. Last time they were brought into the court room, they were reluctant about it because they were wearing their grungies.

So... maybe it's just that they didn't wanna get caught with their pants down this time, so to speak.

11. Look for an "important" White House briefing to pop up out of the blue. Then you'll know that a
verdict is on the way.

16. There's still 9 billion dollars missing
That buys a lot of jurors -- but only needs to buy one.

I can't tell, but my hunch is if he gets anything, it'll be light, and brushed off as "nothing" by the GOP. He'll either get pardoned or paroled. No jail time...that little twink would last about two minutes in the pokey (so to speak).

17. Another possibility re: gussying
It may be that they're hung and expect to be called into court for the judge to read them the Allen charge. Since the judge would be pissed already, they wouldn't want to offend the judge; hence the gussying up.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope they have a verdict of GUILTY AS SIN on all counts, today.
