Can't someone challenge the wing nuts to a national debate on Global Warming?
I am sick and tired of Rush, Hannity and Drudge citing the same two or three fringe scientists who are not even published or their work peer reviewed.

Anyone can write a book on any subject and it doesn't make them a fucking expert! Hell, the cigarette companies still have scientists who say cigarettes are good for you.

Someone debate these dumb asses on national TV, promote it big time, and humiliate them once and for all! Even if they don't show up they will look BAD!

1. I checked Drudge today...
and I forgot the "scientists" name but I am amazed about these quoted "scientists"... that I haven't heard of before. The first paragraph generally contains information explaining that the person is "well known" scientist...

zzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzz

I've had two people quote from Drudge in the past week and I can't believe people cannot see the forest for the trees.

2. Yep, I can probably find 100 "experts" who say Big Foot is real
Drudge could post a new Big Foot expert once a week and the sheep would start to believe in Big Foot.

3. Pauly Shore was a "well known" actor
but that doesn't mean his work has any value. That's the analogy I always think of when someone uses that term.

4. No. No, no, no. No.
Debating them lends them credibility by placing them on equal standing. America does not need to "hear the debate," because there is no debate. The scientific community is united on this. Global warming is real, and there is a >90% chance that it is man-made.

The scientific community refused to debate the ID nuts, because ID is not science. It is a refusal to believe in facts, and debating that on equal terms legitimizes it. Global warming is the same.

5. And why don't we invite the Flat Earthers to a debate, too?
It makes just as much sense.
