"Every Republican I know looks at the Bush administration as a total failure,"
Perhaps herein lies the beginnings of justice:

"Every Republican I know looks at the Bush administration as a total failure," said Matt Towery, chairman of Newt Gingrich's political organization.

“To do what he did politically to us is unforgivable," Rep. Tom Tancredo told Alexander. "It will take generations to recover. I don't know how long; maybe never."

"I think the legacy is that Karl Rove will be a name that'll be used for a long, long time as an example of how not to do it," said long-time GOP strategist Ed Rollins.

They rolled with the pack for how many years, and now that they didn't get the results they wanted, they cry failure? Whatever.

6. I think he means that he got so unpopular, it rubbed off on them.
He made the unpopularity of Republicanism and conservatism patently obvious. Now they can't continue the nice scam they had going for the last 30 years.

14. No they shouldn't STFU. They should air their grievances and piss each other off.

5. "what he did politically"
of course they don't mind the other crap.... just how he screwed the party.

And I notice it took them a few years to long to notice. I have little sympathy.

7. Republicans are Republicans, there is no separation. Liars.
Newt is part of the problem, vastly so.

If Bush is a failure and the wish to separate themselves from him (HA!), then why did republicans shoot down a windfall profit tax against gas companies? Want an economic stimulus? Tax the amazingly rich.

Talking out the sides of their mouths.

9. I knew a lot of Republicans who hated Bush in 2004
However, Rover and his media allies were so effective at demonizing Kerry that they ended up holding their noses and voting Bush as the lesser of two evils.

10. they get what they deserve.
what these repigs have to remember that the neo cons do not care about the republican party they are only in it for themselves. I wish I could find that quote made by big ole dick that he does not think about the party, or something like we are not in it for the Party.

and the Repuke party boys are upset about their damaged reputation and popularity.

Don't let the GOP distance themselves from Bush. Bush is the logical conclusion of the GOP's failed policies.
