The time must be ripe for Iran invasion
There has been a lot of helicopter activity out of Fort Campbell the last two days. Whenever this happens, we usually have some increase in military action somewhere. And we all know that the chicken-hawks are itching & drooling to invade Iran.

They've got to get a MAJOR diversion going!

Because:

  1. Gas Prices & Economy getting too much negative attention that reflects badly on * & Repubs

  2. Obama getting too much positive time on airwaves

  3. Dammit, that Iraqi War is not workin' out like they "envisioned it"

  4. Flooding of the Mississippi River in the Mid-West rekindling memories of failed Katrina aid

  5. Former Press Secretary is spilling the beans & will do it UNDER OATH in a Congressional hearing

  6. McSame is tripping over his own tongue repeatedly (can you say "gaff-a-rama"?)

  7. Impeachment articles (all 35) are being read into the Congressional record

I'm sure there are more reasons that have slipped my mind, or we don't even know about.

The diversion cometh. Hold on to your hats! (especially the tinfoil ones :tinfoilhat:)

2. Of course!
That certainly makes sense.

What convenient timing, too!

You can bet they have some nefarious plan afoot, while they're off playing golf around the world,or some such.

6. All on vacation..
they didn't know a thing..they've been listening to what's being said by Obama, the comments from everywhere, plus, don't forget that meeting last week in DC with the secret government..the big boys have big plans, and have set the time schedule..everyone out of the country and blame the other country for whatever BS they can dream up..Plus, the LOW poll #'s, but had to marry the baby off first to try to show he's got a "son" now..there's tons of things going to happen for sure, and don't put it past them either to cancel the elections because the "talks" haven't been going their way, and Iraq wants them OUT NOW, remember that article last week...oh yes, it's full steam ahead.

7. Put nothing past them
Have felt like they would pull another coup to stay in power. This election cycle has been too weird already. The idea that this election was "making history" kept being parroted over & over got my antennae up! I imagine it'll be "historical", all right, just not in the way most picture it.

Agree with all you said....though hadn't thought about the "new son" part.... but it fits.

10. This might be another indicator. Fort Campbell is an Army base &
I'm south of the base @ 50 miles. The copters I'm seeing are going south & back, on their usual flight paths, but just way more of them. They usually fly to Fort Benning or the Gulf, I believe.

I suppose some of these flying over could be Marines from NC, but the flight path would be unusual, if that were the case.
