Iraq. Katrina. Walter Reed.
This, fellow progressive Democrats, is the face of the Republican party. This is what happens when you think government is only good for enriching your friends. And this is what the Republicans have in store for 90% of Americans if they get their way with permanent tax cuts and permanent war.

We need to hang Walter Reed around the necks of conservatives as surely as we hung Katrina and Iraq around their necks. And we had better get started, because I read on Daily Kos that Malkin, and the other right wing liars, are saying that Walter Reed is what universal health care will look like, forgetting to mention that Walter Reed's care was outsourced.

We have lots of work to do.

1. We need to know everything - everything about that contract at WR.

My guess is that if they are closing the building - two things are required -

. we need to know if they are going to give the building to their friends
. who will profit from a move to a new new building and the costs of a new building

I think they are going to turn this into more profit for friends. We took a disaster and lost even more money with a move with NOTHING being said about the existing building. Great opportunity for profit.

4. It is how they look at govt. service I think.
Some people always think if you get anything from the govt. it is a hand out. I spent most of my life under service care and that feeling is with some who even work inside the system. Now if the guy is running large agencies you can see the problem. These people also move in to make money by private bus. taking over. I am sure it is a top down thing that lets this go on. Our top people in govt. feel private bus. is best so of course we have seem this all filter into every agency we now have to deal with. Having private bus. do it all now moves up into what we should do in their where of thinking and they seem to have prove things are runs so bad. It is sort of self feeding.
