Meanwhile, back at the Lieberman ranch.........
Holy Joe is doing everything except running for chairman of the RNC. He knows
that as a Senator, he becomes irrelevant come Jan. 2. The Democratic Senate will
no longer have to lick his sorry ass when they have a solid majority, and don't need
his "independent" vote to squeak stuff by. He is pulling for McCain because he
knows that a president Obama will pay about as much attention to him in the Senate
as Al Gore would to Ralph Nader sending suggestions on Global Warming--actually,
probably less. In the Senate, even under a President McCain, all Lieberman could
do is be one more vote in McCain's favor against the onslaught of veto override
votes. So, no, he wants a cabinet position, probably Defense, which to Holy Joe
means bombing many nations that use a squiggly alphabet.

Sorry, Joe, you bet on the wrong horse. It is not the Democratic Party that left
you. You left us. Zell Miller was used by the Republican Party like a kleenex:
used to collect some snot, and then discarded. Be prepared for the same treatment
if Obama is elected, as a President Obama and his Democratic Majority would owe you
less than nothing. Even if McCain is elected, you will have served their purpose, and
only the throwing of a bone your way will save you from the occasional page 11 article
in the Hartford newspapers.

I understand what you're up to and why you're up to it.

That doesn't make it any less pathetic.

2. Every effort should be made...
To push him lower than whale shit on the Senate percs and privileges food chain. The worst office. The smallest staff. The lowest payrolls. The most bare-bones budget. The Senate Lawn&Gardening Fertilizer Subcommittee. Liason to the janitorial staff. Hour upon ceaseless hour of ostracism and boredom. Don't even send him bills to read. Don't accept the bills he offers. Just...there.

It would also serve to sweeten other dispositions in Congress.

Differences on policy? No problem. What he is doing and has done? Intolerable.

3. I wonder if Joe ran back to Gramps and complained about Barack
putting him against the wall and giving him a talking to. Would love to know McSame's opinion on that one...

6. I haven't seen anything

My fervent hope is that the reason for that is that no one in CT
gives a rat's ass about him any more. Should someone do it anyway,
I'm sure he'd be giving Bush a run for his money to see who sinks
below 20% first.......
