Rage. Do you feel it?
I have a newly developed rage trigger. The W sticker while driving. Used to be I would see one and think "idiot!" That changed to "asshole!"

Lately, it has turned to a white hot rage. I flip them off and literally scream epithets at them (Navy trained). I can't help it. It's scaring me.

Am I alone?

2. That kind of rage is unhealthy...
at least for me it is as well for those close to me. (Army trained here) My emotional health is far more valuable to me than some idiot with a W sticker on their car.

6. suppression is unhealthy too...
daughter of a vet here. Targeting the source of the rage is important though. It's not the guy with the bumper sticker.

7. If the guy with the bumber sticker is still supporting this shit...
Isn't he the root of the problem?

I saw my first McW sticker yesterday and was just sad. The W stickers have this involuntary response.

18. I agree, that kind of rage is unhealthy and far, far more common than any kind of supression.
It's hard to believe that suppression would be used as a justification for getting bent out of shape by an old bumper sticker. Rage is gennerally never a healthy response to such a casual and common thing as a bumper sticker. It would make for a more entertaining drive if everybody went nuts over bumper stickers they don't like--just as long as they aren't armed. Well, I mean, they can have, they can have arms--it's easier driving that way. What I meant is that I hope they don't have firearms. Sorry for the confusion.

4. I am afraid you are not
And that rage is building on the right as well with the help of the media, and the natural bigotry that still exist in many white people against the black.
I really fear that we could have a civil war if something bad happened to set it off.

5. I have often rolled down my window and voiced my "expressions" to them.
I love to see the look on their faces. Pugs can't handle it then I drive off. It makes my day know those assholes are going to be in a bad mood the rest of the day.

10. Actually not as much as i used to
Probably because I'm now sorta optimistic at the prospect of a Dem controlled congress and a Dem in the WH who together might actually do something about the criminals and bumblers in the bush administration.

11. More of a deep disgust
Actual nausea producing. Any sign that someone is a bush supporter makes me sick. Bush himself, I can't even listen to much less look at.

Those Navy trained epithets sound interesting though;)

14. move to Oregon! No Bush/McCain stickers here
not a one that I've seen for a couple of years now. Our state is about as blue as it gets but then I live in W. Oregon. E. Oregon might be different.
Now my Republican relatives - that's another story. I've learned to co-exist with Pubbies thinking that I can catch more flies with honey than vinegar!

15. Monkey!
For the longest time, whenever I hear him talk,
my brain drowns him out shouting, "Monkey!" over and over.

It's just about the weirdest thing.
The only thing weirder is that We the People
haven't removed him from office.

22. Right there with you. I spout profanity just like you. I will not
get near one of these assholes. I change lanes and stay far behind them. I will not park next to one. All for fear of having to interact with such a dipshit. Don't worry, unless you actually move the tire iron into the front seat you are okay.

If I can't land a jump or skate a pattern cleanly, it's usually because I'm grumbling about *, McGramps, police brutality, and other things and/or people we love to hate here on DU!
