1. uh.... New Mexico?
I guess I can understand us being left out, we're a teeny-tiny state in electoral vote terms. But you left out TEXAS?!?

Please don't hold the Chimperor agin' 'em all, there's plenty of dedicated Dems in our big neighbor.

plaintively,
Bright

5. ok - how would you split the 50 states, DC, and overseas?
(But I'm not redoing it - too much bother!!)

16. Interesting question.
I think I'd look at several regionalizations.

New England/Northeast
Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachussetts

Mainline Northeast
New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan

Mid-Atlantic
Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, DC

Southeast
North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida

Appalachia/Central Mountains
West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee

South
Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas

Central Midwest
Indiana, Illinois, Missouri

Upper Midwest
North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Iowa

Great Plains
Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma

Rocky Mountains
Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho

Southwest
Texas, New Mexico, Arizona

West
California, Nevada, Utah

Pacific Northwest
Washington, Oregon, Alaska

Pacific
Hawaii, Guam, etc.

Atlantic
Puerto Rico

You could aggregate some regions, like "West/Pacific Northwest/Rocky Mountains" and "Great Plains/Southwest" and "Upper Midwest/Central Midwest" etc., to keep the groupings manageable. But people do seem to feel strongly about their regional identities, as you're finding out!

good luck...

compulsively,
Bright

18. I would have liked to post more polls, but 6 gave me tendonitis!
Especially since I had them all set up in tabs in Firefox, but DU won't let you post from separate tabs or something, so I had to redo them all.

12. I know - but no room - it's stuck in central at the moment
I had them all perfect but then the DU software wouldn't let me post from multiple tabs so I had to recreate it from memory. Clearly my memory didn't work so well! I had two Wyomings by mistake but no votes so the central one is now LA. First go round I had LA sitting with TX and AR in Centralish. Sigh. I think I have about 20 state mad at me!
