Does McGramps even WANT to be POTUS?

Or do just a lot of stupid people want him to be? He doesn't seem all that enthused about it.

1. Not really.
He's a placeholder - sort of like the "zero" in math.

Think Bob Dole.

The Rethuglicans have made a mess that will not be
cleaned up in 4 years. They're dumping the garbage
for us to clean up.

I hope we can. I fear we cannot.

9. The Republican practice of
"oh it's his turn, we better nominate him" amazes me. Being around for a long time shouldn't be the top requirement on anyones list for President.

4. I think getting the nomination was his main desire after Rove F'ed him over in 2000
Actually being President at his age probably doesnt have much appeal to him.

5. It's the VP choice we have to worry about...
I have thought that was the case all along. It will be Cheney's choice that will pose a problem. He has too much to lose if Iraq doesn't go along with his plans, and he is not likely to give up easily.

6. I think he's convinced himself that he's entitled to it, he's started to believe
some of the pundits that claim he should have it.

You're in big trouble when you start believing your own press.

8. If appearances mean anything, it appears as though he's been thrown down. Lumpy is messed up.
