Why is Amway allowed to advertise on MSNBC?
I thought pyramid schemes were illegal?

It's pretty obvious that Scamway is ramping up their marketing to rob all the new jobless folks with promises of free money. If it's not illegal, it should be.

Only pyramid schemes run by the average citizen are illegal.

If the big guys couldnt run pyramids Wall Street would be shut down.

4. Amway appears on several lists of cults
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amway#Controversy

Several groups including those associated with the anti-cult movement have expressed concern that tactics of some of the organizations that support Amway IBOs may constitute cult-like activity. Steven Hassan's Freedom of Mind Center lists the practices of some of these groups as potentially abusive according to his "BITE" Model of mind control. Other similar organizations that have expressed concern with the activities of AMOs in practice include FACTnet, Cult Awareness and Information Centre (Australia), and others. The Rick Ross Institute keeps a collection of related material on its website.

So now cults are advertising on BSNBC? What's next? "Countdown - brought to you by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. NOT the Mormons!" :eyes:

6. Herbalife advertises on msnbc too
Have you seen those ads that are *business opportunity* ads, linked to the 75getmoney.com (or any other varius number)? They are advertisements that seek people willing to invest and sell Herbalife products. That too is an MLM scam, but it plays like a biz opp ad.

7. This is corporate commercial fascism. My first cousin tried to get
me involved in this shit. I got the tapes and went to a seminar. It was like a Nazi pep rally. Basically saying you should drop out of certain aspects of society and only purchase goods from Amway. Every time you buy something it builds up points that returns buying advantages to you. There are different levels you much reach. I think the diamond level is the top. They have their own internet provider service. You are encouraged to hold meetings in your community. Propaganda tapes are handed out and sold that basically promote right wing nut job philosophies. I eventually told my cousin that in the United States of America you have to right to say no. I haven't heard a think about this from him since. My cousin knows Devoss. I road on the elevator with him. I have long hair and an earring. When he was introduced to me I could tell he was uncomfortable with my presence. I loved it. I just wish I had said something like, "Fuck George Bush." in his presence. :dem:
