Get ready for $5.00/gallon......
...hope all you SUCKV owning Republicants enjoy spending $150/week on fuel. How's that equity in your house doing, flippers?

Oh, you have the fucking motherfucker President Fuckstick to thank for this, but don't worry about him, he'll be living the high life in his jungle redoubt in Paraguay come Jan. 20th.

Read all about it here: http://money.cnn.com/2008/06/06/news/economy/gas_prices/index.htm?cnn=yes

Oil's 2-day surge tests record

Futures skyrocket $11 on a sliding dollar and a Morgan Stanley report predicting $150-a-barrel oil.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Oil prices surged for the second straight day, rising at one point to within 41 cents of the all-time intraday record, on a dollar decline that stemmed from a weak jobs report and a forecast of $150-a-barrel oil.

1. "fucking motherfucker President Fuckstick" --that's going to be ringing in my head all day--
Best use of the word "fuck" on DU that I've seen in awhile.

2. It deserves some sort of a prize, I guess
but the spot market price isn't the whole story.

Most oil is on long term contract, contracts having been renegotiated recently and which now reflect the beating the dollar has taken. Simply put, that $1.79/gallon gas we had back in 2003 is now going to be at least double simply by virtue of the fall in the dollar.

Spot market oil is only purchased when there is a shortfall in contract oil, usually due to fire, sinking, explosions, underestimating the need, or other disasters.

We'll see that $5.00+/gallon gas only if we have disasters like a bad hurricane season or another one of Stupid's wars of corporate convenience.

3. Since people are now driving less - will auto insurance premiums drop?
That should be the way it works. The auto insurance companies face less liability if fewer miles are being driven by their insureds and there are fewer opportunities for accidents to happen.

I kind of doubt it, though, as the little guy never seems to win in America when dealing with giant corporations.
