Our knee jerk manic economy...
good news!! bad news!! good news!! bad news!!

damn, this is worse than rooming with a manic depressive on crack.

Just less than 24 hours ago, we had this:

U.S. jobless claims fall in latest week
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24983895/

followed by:

Jobs, retail reports help stocks finish up sharply
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3683270/

only be trumped by:

Jobless rate jumped to 5.5 percent in May
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/250019

No doubt, logic should dictate that the market should fall.

But the bigger story here is: this is a prime example of people who are on unemployment insurance, using it up, and still are unable to find a job. Thus boosting the claim that jobless claims are down! whoo hoo! sigh. revisionist economics.
