I saw a documentary two or three years ago. Some students said they did not know the man, and the footage in the film seemed to suggest he was taken into custody after he left the square, as he was moving away into a crowd of fellow protesters, onlookers and police.

I fear the worst for that individual, but his actions are legend.

5. Nobody even knows who he is/was (probably was)

There's a kind of consensus that he was executed shortly after that, but nobody really knows
