When Hugo Chavez Pivots His Nasty Rhetoric Toward Obama, Will You Take Your Nose Out of His Ass?
Uncle Hugo needs an American boogeyman (scapegoat) to blame his problems on, he doesn't care if his name is Bush or Obama.

When Hugo starts his crazy rants on President Obama, do you think the cult of Hugo will still make excuses for him left and right?

computer, one of the mind control "FRAMES" IS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO LISTEN TO THIS SORT OF THING, it will take effort, do it..!!!

this is ground breaking research... exposes the NeoCons, Faux news, all the media

i have been meditating for 10 years, i have been trying to explain this to people ever since i started.. meditation disassociates emotions from words/thoughts/icons/concepts. that is what the Buddhists mean by being awake, not always riding off on an emotional trip into the future or the past.

you need to be "Here"... "Now" "observant"

their system is to tag a word like liberal, evolution, gay, etc with an emotion that takes you out of the present context.

i tell people and they just don't hear the words out of my mouth, they are not in the present..

I'm more bothered by the absurd labels "despot", "tyrant", etc. being hurled at him by US corporate media.

My guess is that the Miami Cubans are behind that to some degree. Anyone who is cordial to Castro must be a demon.

I wonder why they don't hurl the same rage at Lula in Brazil?

once we have a President Obama.... As a matter of fact, I think that President Chavez and President Obama will be able to work well together. They both care deeply about their people and their countries and I'm sure they will easily find common ground. President Chavez hates George W Bush (Just as most of us do) and I'm almost certain that he will take a much different tone with a President Obama.

You sure seem to have a bug up your ass about a foreign leader who has never threatened the U.S.

By the way, even if Chavez did break up your family's plantation and make the peasants uppity, he's only following in the footsteps of the U.S., who did the same thing in Occupied Japan and pressed Chiang Kai-shek to do so in Taiwan.

On the other hand, if the US stops poking its nose into the business of the supposedly sovereign nations that share this planet with us, I think a lot Hugo's "problems" will go away in short order.

Not that I expect that will change your opinion. There are still Cubans who hate Castro after all.

really screwing his citizens with that, isn't he?

if Obama were smart he'd cut a deal w/Chavez outside OPEC, and take as much oil as we need to supply us until we come up with alternatives.

do they have enough to do so?

why not at least discuss this?

is it impossible.

do you think for ONE SECOND the American people wouldn't FLOCK to him if he announced a deal with Chavez, and gas would cost, oh say 1 or 2 dollars a gallon? The country would be blue and the pugs would be purple (with rage), then green.

57. I don't trust him anyway. Too power hungry for me.
Could easily turn into another dictator. But he is not currently one, so I will withhold judgment.

58. I've yet to hear a "crazy rant" from Hugo Chavez...
And I doubt he would be all that hostile against Obama. Any criticism he would give Obama would be against Obama's more right-leaning policies.

And what's wrong with that? Chavez is a socialist. Do you expect him to PRAISE Obama for right-leaning Clinton-style "reforms"?

Let me guess, you're a Cuban?

68. Why WOULDN'T a man who had been the victim of a coup the other man supported, and
who has been the target of Bush's massive funding to his political opposition, bringing them to Washington for conferences in the State Department, conferring with, financially supporting people who led the job lock-out in the oil industry, and the referendum, had his ambassador rush over to throw his spindley arms around the 2 day coup President the moment they took Chavez away at gunpoint, have VERY pointed, strong things to say about George W. Bush who has continually butted into his government, and waged a 24/7 propaganda campaign against him over years, set his cabinet members Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, and Donald Rumsfeld making trips to South America, attempting to coerce leaders like Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, and Nestor Kircher to isolate Chavez, to stay away from him (both of whom solidly rebuked these attempts)?

You should spend a little more time learning something about the subject you're attempting to discuss FIRST before treating the whole world to your non-reality-based-opinion.

the Bush administration has, he probably will. I have hope that Obama will bring in a new, practical and enlightened vision to Latin American relations that will benefit both us and Latin America. If this happens I believe Chavez will embrace him.

80. Oh, do you mean like this?... "Chavez Offers Olive Branch To Next US President"

Chavez offers olive branch to next US president

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=3343170&mesg_id=3343170

"President Hugo Chavez said Saturday he wants to work together with the next US president and that Venezuela and the United States should cooperate to resolve problems including world hunger, energy shortages and climate change..."

"Whoever is the next president of the United States, I'd like start preparing the way to start working together," said Venezuela's socialist leader.
By cooperating, both countries could "help save the world from the food crisis, energy crisis and climate crisis", he added.

(I can't wait to hear the response of the cult of Hugo Haters on this "nasty rhetoric"!)

85. Yours or his?
So, if Chavez had come out and attacked the next US president you would have considered that in the same category as "talk is cheap"? Or is talk only cheap when it doesn't fit your preconceived notion of it?

You said Chavez needs "an American boogeyman (scapegoat) to blame his problems on, he doesn't care if his name is Bush or Obama."

He hasn't/didn't and instead says he wants to work with the next US president. It would appear "what's in a name" may be pertinent and your assertion that he needs a "boogeyman (scapegoat)" is a bit premature.
