He said she was wonderful. He also said that the veterans who spoke before her moved him very deeply. He intends to volunteer at the nearest VA hospital every week instead of the local folkie club where he has been volunteering. I think I would like to go with him. Any VA hospital volunteers have any advice? Edited to add: Any former VA patients have any advice?

1. Gee, I can't believe Cindy was in Manchester today. I never
heard a thing about it...but I've been inside coughing up a storm for the past week (damn flue) but hubby's been around and never said a thing about her being here. She picked a good day...weather was beautiful... hovering around 30 degrees and snowing off and on while the sun was out. I'm sooooo sorry I missed her. I wonder what brought her to this neck of the woods...other than the fact that it's beautiful?

2. I don't know what prompted the trip
except for the fact that she is a tireless promoter of peace. Bless her. I wish I could have gone, but instead I drove and drove to Canton, NY. Business trip. I have huge dark circles under my eyes. I did buy a ticket for the mega millions drawing on Tuesday. If I win I will retire and attend only important events. :-) Hope you feel better soon!

3. She's been in Vermont for the past few days
On Friday she testified before the Vermont Senate. She's been going town to town in support of impeachment resolutions that will be voted on in 23 towns on Tuesday- town meeting day.

4. If hubby would have called me tonight I would have known this.
:-) He's probably already asleep. Our middle kitty has taken to midnight prowls across our pillows. We have not had decent sleep for ever so long.

5. Thanks Cali and Redwitch
Nothing like finding out what's going on in our home town on the WWW!!!

Cali, do you know where she is speaking on Monday? I have some friends who'd love to hear her.

I'm sure our state will be voting "Yes" for impeachment Tuesday...
no doubt about it! :bounce:

6. Sorry Auntie, tonight in Brattleboro was here last stop.
I really hope that all 23 towns vote for impeachment.
