We live in Iowa. Our senator, the very honorable Tom Harkin, is staging a contest among state house office seekers. There are seperate contests for the Iowa house and the Iowa senate. Seth is volunteering for a first-time state house candidate, Gretchen Lawyer. Ms. Lib and I are working for a first time state senate candidate, Sharon Savage.
This is the third round of a three round contest. To have made it this far is quite a feat for both of these neophyte politicians. The prize is $5,000 plus a mailing. This is HUGE money for both campaigns
