when someone disagreed with you.

it's one of the tried & true techniques of propaganda, used to stifle free discussion - because when personal ill-will is stirred up, people can't think straight.

maybe you're not conscious of what you're doing, i don't know. but it's destructive.

"...stooge of one faction or another."

That's the nature of our species. Add that you have to be pretty driven, perhaps too closely to egomania, to even want the job.

Still, the details matter, and better things happen for the masses when moderate politicians govern than with ruthless despots.

the Republicans will steal this election. Because the last two times they did it, nobody stood up to them and nobody did anything about it. It worked twice before, why the hell wouldn't the do it again!? I wish this wasn't the case, but I fully expect the Republicans to steal 2008, and nobody will do anything about it. Look at the people that have run this country for the las eight years. You think they're going to give up and walk away now!?

And many people can vote 'absentee' and get their vote in that way.

The turnout in November will be HUGE!! BUT, we need to warn people to be prepared
for being asked for ID's and proof of residence when they go to the polls!

ALL the college kids damn well BETTER show up for THIS election!!

Pass the word to them, frequently and often!! They better show up this time!! :grr:

The country was sick and tired of the rose garden, ass kissing, DLC owned, dems appeasing the present would be dictator in chief. It started with the shit-canning of traitor Joe in 2006 and it will not stop until the voters CAN tell the difference between a democrat and a republican, IMHO. Even the awesome power of the clenis ain't what it used to be. America needs a CHANGE! 80% of the country knows we can't go on in the direction Bush has led us and survive as a free nation.

I hope Obama has the great good sense, to just say no, to any, of the greed driven, self serving, rose garden types for VP...

Ah! I'm just picturing the mounds and mounds of leis around Obama's neck when he takes the oath of office in January. Pikake and ginger, plumeria and orchid, all the best designs and flown in fresh. Two people from his ohana I especially hope can be there with him -- his Tutu and Senator Ted Kennedy. :grouphug:

I will try to hold that beautiful picture in my mind through the rough months ahead of us.

Obama focuses on the POSITIVE...a place that the GOP cannot go to...they are a Party built on NEGATIVITY...therein lies the diff.
