Executive Order 12333
Executive Order 12333. LAT:

A Bush administration plan to issue new orders realigning the chain of command over U.S. spy services has triggered turf-related skirmishes across the intelligence community.

The changes could erode the CIA's standing as the nation's lead spy service abroad by requiring agency station chiefs in certain countries to cede authority to officials from other U.S. spy agencies, officials said. ...

.........................

Other officials have warned that the idea might lead to interference, or jeopardize secrecy.

If the order is approved, officials from different agencies "would have the ability to turn off or make decisions about the CIA's in-country activities," said a former U.S. intelligence official who has seen drafts of the document. That other official "would also have visibility into sensitive CIA operations. It's kind of a slippery slope."

4. Apparently Blackwater has their own intelligence division, maybe it's them?

Blackwater's Owner Has Spies for Hire
Ex-U.S. Operatives Dot Firm's Roster
By Dana Hedgpeth
Washington Post Staff Writer

Saturday, November 3, 2007; Page A01

First it became a brand name in security for its work in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now it's taking on intelligence.

The Prince Group, the holding company that owns Blackwater Worldwide, has been building an operation that will sniff out intelligence about natural disasters, business-friendly governments, overseas regulations and global political developments for clients in industry and government.

6. that's what i'm talking about -- you don't meddle with the power structure unless you're
meddling to get some for yourself. Intelligence that marginally answers to "the People" is of no use to these criminals.

7. I agree and I believe privatized intelligence will be for the spying community and national security
Edited on Sat May-31-08 12:27 PM by Uncle Joe
what privatized prisons have been for our world record prison population and privatized health care has been for our bottom of the industrialized nations ranking in national health care.

3. The Harriman brothers and poppy built the CIA
and dimson is about to destroy it.... (Perhaps over simplifying this but)

Fascinating

It actually places the leaking of a CIA NOC in a whole new perspective, doesn't it?

And now we know dimson authorized THAT, which is... TREASON under US Law

5. This is not good
Gives ultimate power to Director of National Intelligence, currently
J. Michael McConnell.

" Under the proposed plan, the station chiefs would remain in position but could be required to cede some of their authority to officials from other agencies, including the NSA or the Defense Intelligence Agency."

Means no more "confusion" over NIEs..
none of the messy Valerie Plame/missing yellowcake/smoking gun of lies
Bush got trapped in about Iraq.
Centralizes power to the WH Kingdom, can eliminate the "unloyal Bushies" in the CIA.

NOt good at all.

9. According to this article, there are 33 private intel companies currently doing business
in the US. This is a fascinating article. I had no idea there are that many of these rent-a-spook companies around.

Most of those on the list are large DoD contractors with intel functions handled by separate business units. Others sell intel services exclusively.

If you scroll down a little ways, you'll see the list of intel companies on the left side bordering the text.

10. Yes, there is a booming Industrial Surveillance Complex.
That's one of those few things I agree with Ron Paul on. This is dangerous.
